Storm & Hail Damage Roof Repair in Lawnside, NJ
A gale almost never peels the middle of a roof. It gets under an edge, lifts a course, and works inward from there, which is why ground-level inspections miss so much of it.

Wind needs somewhere to get underneath before it can do anything at all. That somewhere is a rake, a ridge cap, the first course above a gutter, or a spot where a previous repair left a lip. Once it is under, it works along the course rather than across it. So the damage that matters is usually a narrow band following an edge, not the big obvious hole people expect to see.
What gets checked, in this order
Rakes and ridge caps
The first things to move, and the easiest to miss from the ground.
The course above the gutter
Wind-driven rain pushes uphill here and finds any fastener that has let go.
Soft metal
Vents, caps and gutter faces dent cleanly and tell you what kind of weather it was.
The field, slope by slope
Test areas marked out and counted the way an adjuster would mark them.
Ground-level corroboration
Screens, sills, the deck rail and the car, which date the event when the roof is ambiguous.
The loft underneath
Daylight, damp timber or a wet nail line that says something moved up there.
What you are left with
Photographs of each elevation with something in frame for scale, a note of what was found where, and a written estimate covering the work rather than the claim. If you are putting a claim in, that record is yours to use. We are not insurance people and we will not advise you on your policy, but we will see to it that the state of the roof is written down properly before the weather makes it ambiguous.
Keeping it dry in the meantime
If something is open, we cover it on the first visit rather than booking a second one to do it. A temporary cover is not a repair and we will not bill it as one. The permanent work then gets booked for a day when the weather will let us finish it in one go.
Have somebody look at the edges
The inspection is free, it covers the whole envelope rather than one slope, and it ends with a written estimate you are under no obligation to act on.
